Amazon pauses 21Air operations after deadly Miami cargo crash
Amazon.com said Sunday evening that it has paused operations with 21Air, which operates a cargo plane involved in a deadly crash in Miami that killed five people last week.
In a blog post, Amazon said that following the tragic incident last weekend, it had devoted time to supporting the investigation and reviewing some of the surrounding circumstances, and had decided to pause its operations with 21 Air.
Amazon said it would keep supporting the investigation and everyone affected.
An Amazon Prime Air cargo flight, Flight 7598, overran a runway and crashed during landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday. The aircraft struck multiple vehicles on the ground and injured five people in the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board investigated the incident, while Amazon said it was also gathering details about what happened.
