Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.15%
Colombian equities closed higher on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services, and Agriculture sectors lifted the market into positive territory.
The COLCAP benchmark gained 0.15% at the closing bell, marking a fresh all-time high.
Etb (BVC:ETB) was the session's best performer, rising 17.21% (21.00 points) to close at 143.00. Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TERPEL) gained 2.44% (440.00 points) to end at 18,500.00, and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:GRUPOARGOS) advanced 1.59% (340.00 points) to 21,700.00 in late trade.
Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC:CORFICOLCF) turned in the weakest performance, declining 1.35% (320.00 points) to 23,380.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:GRUPOSURA) slid 1.20% (840.00 points) to 69,160.00, while Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:PFDAVVNDA) fell 0.69% (180.00 points) to 25,800.00.
On the Colombia Stock Exchange, declining issues outnumbered advancing ones by 0 to 0.
Etb (BVC:ETB) also reached a three-year high during the session, rising 17.21% (21.00 points) to 143.00.
In commodity markets, US coffee C for December delivery fell 1.91% (5.65) to $289.95. US cocoa for December declined 4.22% (261.00) to $5,927.00, while December gold futures dropped 1.71% (76.60), changing hands at $4,400.00 per troy ounce.
The USD/COP exchange rate slipped 0.06% to 3,115.92, and BRL/COP decreased 0.05% to 612.39.
The US Dollar Index futures were down 0.34% at 98.82.
