Danish shares ended lower on Wednesday, with declines in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Software & Computer Services sectors leading the market downward.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 index recorded a fall of 1.26%.

Among the session's top performers on the OMX Copenhagen 20, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) advanced 0.75% or 160.00 points to finish at 21,440.00. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 0.14% or 30.00 points to close at 22,240.00, and AL Sydbank A/S (CSE:ALSYDB) was unchanged at 689.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 3.41% or 4.85 points to trade at 137.45 at the close. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) declined 3.29% or 14.70 points to end at 432.00, and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) dropped 3.06% or 27.20 points to 863.00.

On the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones by 87 to 31, while 17 issues ended unchanged.

In commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 3.75%, or $3.49, to $96.52 a barrel. Brent crude for November delivery climbed 3.49%, or $3.42, to $101.34 a barrel, while December gold futures were up 0.02%, or $0.80, to trade at $4,439.80 per troy ounce.

The USD/DKK exchange rate was unchanged at 6.43, while EUR/DKK held nearly flat, gaining 0.01% to 7.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures edged up 0.05% to 98.83.
