Israel Stocks Rise at Close as TA 35 Gains 1.12% to One-Month High
At the close of trading on Monday, Israeli equities finished higher as gains in the insurance, financials and banking sectors provided a boost and led shares upward.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 index increased 1.12%, reaching a fresh one-month high.
The session's best performers on the TA 35 included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which jumped 8.24% or 5,200.00 points to close at 68,280.00. Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 5.35% or 5,860.00 points to finish at 115,350.00, and Next Vision Stabilized Systems (TASE:NXSN) rose 4.76% or 1,020.00 points to 22,430.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session included NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE), which declined 3.85% or 1,250.00 points to close at 31,200.00. Mega Or (TASE:MGOR) slipped 3.46% or 1,770.00 points to end at 49,330.00, and Navitas Petroleum LP Unit (TASE:NVPTp) dropped 2.07% or 270.00 points to 12,780.00.
On the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, declining issues outnumbered advancing ones by a margin of 272 to 206, with 81 stocks remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery advanced 1.40%, or $1.28, to $92.76 a barrel. November Brent crude rose 1.38%, or $1.33, to $97.61 a barrel, while December gold futures slipped 0.31%, or $13.74, to trade at $4,462.86 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS was virtually unchanged at 3.01, with a marginal move of 0.01%, while EUR/ILS was also essentially steady at 3.50, shifting by 0.13%.
The US Dollar Index futures were down 0.29%, trading at 98.86.
