Israeli Equities End Lower as TA 35 Declines 0.81%
Israeli equities closed lower on Tuesday, with the Tel Aviv market retreating as declines in the real estate, communications, and financial sectors pulled shares down.
At the close of trading in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 index fell 0.81%.
Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) was the session's top performer on the TA 35, rising 1.62% or 70.00 points to close at 4,391.00. Shufersal (TASE:SAE) gained 1.46% or 53.00 points to end at 3,686.00, while Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) advanced 0.54% or 240.00 points to 44,680.00 in late trading.
The session's worst performers included Navitas Petroleum LP Unit (TASE:NVPTp), which fell 2.74% or 350.00 points to 12,430.00 at the close. Palo Alto Networks Inc (TASE:CYBR) declined 2.65% or 2,700.00 points to end at 99,240.00, and Big Shopping Centers Ltd (TASE:BIG) dropped 2.61% or 1,850.00 points to settle at 69,150.00.
On the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, falling issues outnumbered advancing ones by a margin of 300 to 165, while 94 stocks closed unchanged.
Shares of Shufersal (TASE:SAE) traded at 52-week lows despite rising 1.46% or 53.00 points to 3,686.00.
In commodities, crude oil for October delivery increased 1.36% or $1.24 to $92.72 a barrel. Brent oil for November delivery rose 0.74% or $0.72 to $97.72 a barrel, while December gold futures fell 0.87% or $39.09 to $4,437.51 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS stood at 3.01, reflecting a 0.04% change, while EUR/ILS was at 3.50, reflecting a 0.09% change.
The U.S. Dollar Index futures declined 0.34% to 98.81.
