Kennedy Center warns of bankruptcy risk and possible Tuesday closure, Washington Post reports
Sept 13 (Reuters) – The Washington Post reported Sunday that leaders of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts say it is near bankruptcy and could close as soon as Tuesday.
The leaders, appointed by U.S. President Donald Trump, argue that adding his name to the facade may be the only way to prevent imminent and “certain fiscal collapse,” the newspaper said, citing documents it obtained.
Reuters could not immediately verify it.
