Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.46%

Moroccan stocks ended Monday’s trading session in the red, dragged down by declines in the utilities, banking, and mining sectors.

The Moroccan All Shares index finished down 0.46% at the closing bell in Casablanca.

Among the top performers on the Moroccan All Shares, IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC) climbed 9.07%, or 4.99 points, to close at 60.00. Mutandis SCA (CSE:MUT) advanced 5.91%, or 13.95 points, finishing at 250.00, while Disway SA (CSE:DWY) rose 5.56%, or 39.00 points, to 740.00 in late trading.

On the downside, Cartier Saada (CSE:CRS) led losses, falling 3.24%, or 0.77 points, to 23.02 at the close. Maghrebail (CSE:MAB) dropped 2.79%, or 25.50 points, to 889.50, and Micro Data SA (CSE:MIC) declined 2.58%, or 19.90 points, to 750.00.

Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 38 to 22, while seven equities remained unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery gained 1.93%, or $1.77, to reach $93.25 a barrel. In other commodities, Brent crude for November rose 1.77%, or $1.70, to $97.98 a barrel, while December gold futures traded down 0.41%, or $18.21, at $4,458.39 a troy ounce.

The euro rose 0.14% against the Moroccan dirham to 10.91, while the dollar gained 0.39% against the dirham to 9.40.

US Dollar Index futures declined 0.29% to 98.86.
