Norway Shares End Higher as Oslo OBX Rises 0.53%
Norwegian equities closed higher on Tuesday, propelled by gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, and Utilities sectors.
The Oslo OBX index finished the session up 0.53% at the Oslo close.
Mowi ASA (OL:MOWI) was among the top gainers on the Oslo OBX, advancing 2.39% or 4.80 points to close at 205.80. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) rose 2.34% or 10.70 points to finish at 468.90, while Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) climbed 2.23% or 1.75 points to 80.35 in late trading.
Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) led the decliners, dropping 1.37% or 2.80 points to 201.40 at the close. Cmb.Tech NV (OL:CMBT) lost 0.99% or 1.80 points to end at 179.60, and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) slipped 0.44% or 0.42 points to 94.00.
On the Oslo Stock Exchange, advancers edged out decliners 127 to 126, with 26 issues finishing unchanged.
October-delivery crude oil climbed 1.27%, or $1.16, to $92.64 per barrel. Brent oil for November delivery rose 0.68%, or $0.66, to $97.66 a barrel, while December gold futures declined 0.83%, or $37.30, to $4,439.30 per troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was nearly flat, easing 0.03% to 10.75, while USD/NOK slipped 0.02% to 9.25.
The US Dollar Index Futures declined 0.34% to 98.81.
