Norway stocks lower at close of trade; Oslo OBX down 0.39%
Norwegian stocks were lower at the close on Monday, with declines in the media, transport and diversified financials sectors leading shares downward.
The Oslo OBX index ended the trading day down 0.39% in Oslo.
TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS) turned in the strongest performance on the OBX, advancing 2.50% or 3.40 points to close at 139.30. Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD) rose 2.32% or 3.90 points to settle at 172.00, and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) added 1.12% or 4.40 points to trade at 398.00 in late trading.
On the downside, Tomra Systems ASA (OL:TOM) dropped 8.31% or 8.80 points to trade at 97.10 at the close. Kongsberg Gruppen ASA (OL:KOG) fell 3.37% or 10.40 points to end at 298.00, while Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) lost 2.39% or 10.40 points to close at 424.90.
Declining issues outnumbered advancers by 145 to 117 on the Oslo Stock Exchange, with 24 shares closing unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery rose 1.42%, or $1.30, to $92.78 a barrel. In other commodity markets, November Brent oil climbed 1.38%, or $1.33, to $97.61 a barrel, while December gold futures lost 0.31%, or $14.10, to trade at $4,462.50 per troy ounce.
EUR/NOK slipped 0.25% to 10.78, while USD/NOK weakened 0.38% to 9.27.
U.S. dollar index futures eased 0.29% to 98.87.
