Republican lawmakers criticize Ford business ties to China
WASHINGTON, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Republican members of Congress on Wednesday added their voices to the criticism of Ford Motor over its corporate relationships with Chinese enterprises, following Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy's pointed condemnation of the second-largest U.S. automaker.
Republican Senator Rick Scott praised Duffy for "sounding the alarm about Ford’s risky ties to (Chinese Communist Party) companies." The House Select Committee on China posted on X a collection of company remarks and media articles about Ford's commercial dealings with Chinese firms, under the heading: "This is what Ford says vs. what it does."
