Saudi Stocks Slip as Tadawul All Share Falls 0.19%
Saudi Arabian equities closed in negative territory on Wednesday, pulled down by losses in the Industrial Investment, Insurance, and Media & Publishing sectors.
The Tadawul All Share index ended the session 0.19% lower.
The session's leading gainers included Arab Sea Information Systems Co SJSC (TADAWUL:7201), which climbed 6.77% or 0.26 points to close at 4.10. Saudi Fisheries Co. (TADAWUL:6050) added 5.48% or 3.75 points, finishing at 72.15, while Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (TADAWUL:2290) rose 4.36% or 1.44 points to 34.50 in late trading.
On the downside, Al Etihad Cooperative Insurance Co SJSC (TADAWUL:8170) slipped 7.28% or 0.62 points to 7.90 at the close. Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company SJSC (TADAWUL:8060) fell 4.83% or 0.57 points to end at 11.23, and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8310) declined 2.92% or 0.23 points to 7.65.
On the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange, declining stocks outnumbered advancing issues by 200 to 118, with 32 securities ending the day unchanged.
In commodities, crude oil for October delivery increased 3.00%, or $2.79, to $95.82 per barrel. Brent oil for November delivery rose 2.93%, or $2.87, to $100.79 per barrel, while December gold futures gained 0.02%, or $0.80, to trade at $4,439.80 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR advanced 0.25% to 4.37, while USD/SAR was virtually unchanged, ticking 0.03% higher to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index futures fell 0.14% to 98.64.
