Spain Stocks Finish Lower; IBEX 35 Down 0.14%
Spanish stocks ended lower on Monday, with losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services, and Consumer Goods sectors dragging the market down.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 declined 0.14%.
The best performers on the IBEX 35 included Acciona (BME:ANA), which rose 2.95%, or 6.00 points, to close at 209.20. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS) gained 1.76%, or 1.80 points, ending at 103.90, while SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) advanced 1.75%, or 0.30 points, to 17.12 in late trade.
The session's worst performers were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL), down 2.45%, or 0.13 points, to 5.18 at the close; Indra A (BME:IDR) fell 2.36%, or 1.40 points, to 57.90; and Amadeus IT (BME:AMA) declined 2.33%, or 1.34 points, to 56.26.
Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 122 to 68, with 18 issues ending unchanged.
Gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.35%, or $15.86, to $4,460.74 per troy ounce. In other commodities trading, crude oil for October delivery rose 1.81%, or $1.66, to $93.14 a barrel, while November Brent futures gained 1.47%, or $1.42, to trade at $97.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged at 1.16 (0.11%), while EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.86 (0.06%).
The US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.28% to 98.87.
