Turkish Equities End Higher as BIST 100 Gains 0.99%
Turkish equities closed higher on Monday, driven by advances in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Leasing & Factoring, and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors.
The BIST 100 index finished the session in Istanbul up 0.99%.
Leading the advancers on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which climbed 9.97% or 3.06 points to close at 33.76. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) advanced 9.97% or 2.00 points to 22.06, while SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) gained 9.61% or 0.22 points to 2.51 in late trade.
On the downside, Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) suffered the largest loss, dropping 9.98% or 4.26 points to close at 38.42. Odine Solutions Teknoloji Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ODINE) fell 9.98% or 132.00 points to settle at 1,190.00, and Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS:PASEU) declined 9.97% or 15.80 points to 142.60.
Across the Istanbul Stock Exchange, advancing issues outnumbered decliners 421 to 199, while 25 stocks ended the session unchanged.
In commodities trading, gold futures for December delivery fell 0.39%, or $17.54, to $4,459.06 per troy ounce. Crude oil for October delivery rose 1.67%, or $1.53, to $93.01 per barrel, while November Brent crude gained 1.47%, or $1.42, to $97.70 per barrel.
In currency markets, the dollar rose 0.01% against the lira to 48.43, while the euro advanced 0.13% to 56.37.
U.S. Dollar Index futures edged down 0.31% to 98.84.
